Should the teenage son drive a family car?
This father is not so quick to allow his teenage son to use the family car.
A teenager had just passed his road test and gotten his driving permit.
He asked his father, who was a minister if he could use the family’s car.
His father took him to his study and said to his teenage son,
” I’ll make a deal with you. If you bring your grades up, study your bible, get your hair cut, then we’ll talk about it.”
After about a month the teenage son came back to ask his father’s permission for use of the family’s car.
After some thought the father told his teenage son,
“Son, I’ve been real proud of you. You have brought your grades up, you’ve studied your bible, but you haven’t cut your hair.”
The teenager waited a moment and said to his dad,
“I’ve been thinking about the hair thing for a while. You know Sampson had long hair, Moses had long hair, Noah had long hair, and even Jesus had long hair.”
To which the father replied,
“Yes, and they walked everywhere they went.”
