Years ago cars had carburetors to regulate fuel input to the engine cylinders.

Today’s cars all rely on fuel injection.

Used to be fun to fiddle around with the carburetor systems of the old engines, but they just cannot compete with the fuel-injection efficiency of today’s engines.

The no-carb diet for cars is simply too good.
