Biological Paradox

Why Don’t Your Feet Become Red With Blood?

Where Does The Blood Go?

I always like to illustrate biology principles with simple concrete examples.

The answer I got about the flow of blood in the body was not one I was ready for.

After my lecture on blood flow, the class was posed this simple question:

“If I were to stand on my head, my face would become red because the blood would flow to my head.

Yet if stand up normally my feet remain their normal color.”

Who can explain that paradox?

A student answered very calmy, “That happens because your feet are not empty.”

Look Younger

Young Boobs and An Old Ass

A man comes home from work and finds his wife admiring her breasts in the mirror.

He asks, “What are you doing?”

She replies, “I went to the doctor today, and he told me that I have the breasts of a 25-year old.”

The husband retorts, “Well, what did he say about your 50 year old ass?”

She replies, “Frankly honey, your name never came up.”
